New Winds Blowing

The reason why I have taken a long break is, because I have wanted to take some time to heal myself and I have been looking for something new...like a new passion for photography.
From now on, I want to make looks that are more fantasy-like than cosplay. Cosplay doesn´t interest me that much anymore.
Only the time will tell what the future hold. I'll keep my fingers crossed ;)

So, I am writing again!
I know it has been forever since I last wrote anything.
I haven´t had any motivation to do photoshoots.
But here are some nice photos for you guys still :)))

Spirit Of The Air

Ilmatar
Sotka, the Great bird, made a nest on heavenly maid's knee.
But she got bored and switched her side and the eggs fell off from the nest.
The broken eggs became the Earth and everything in it.

Krampus

Krampus is a Christmas devil in central-European countries.
He punishes naughty children and takes them away to unknown.
(I think that´s a good reason alone to behave this season, am I right?)
Krampus carries chains, bells and branches. Even in Finnish tradition it is said that if you misbehave, you will get sticks for Christmas.

Happy holidays!

Metal Look

The minute I saw this trashcan, I knew I had to do a photoshoot with it x)
(For my English followers, it says metal)
I don´t know if it is just me with my dry humor, but I find this funny somehow.

Forest Nymph

I thought of making a series inspired by Finnish mythology.

This look was inspired by Tellervo, who is a young and playful daughter of the Forest God, Tapio.
She is described as pretty girl, who controls the cattle and helps the harvest grow.
She is mentioned in Kalevala (book of our national folktale),
but she is also a character in our ancient religion.

Sadly this poem is too hard to be translated to English, because
Finnish has so many unique words, which can not be translated to other languages :/
But all Finnish readers will at least understand this.

"Tellervo, Tapion neiti, metsän tyttö tylleröinen,
utupaita, hienohelma, hivus keltainen, korea,
jok' olet karjan kaitselija, viitsijä emännän viljan
mieluisassa Metsolassa, tarkassa Tapiolassa!
Kaitse karja kaunihisti, viitsi vilja virkeästi!"

Easter Bunny Look

The stick in the last photo are called virpomavitsa.
In Easter, kids go trick or treating in Finland dressed up as a witch, cat or bunny
and they trade the sticks to candy.

Happy Easter everyone!
